Here at Bacon & Co we have recently starting the services of Hallmark. We used to inform the four utility companies ourselves, which was both time consuming and at a cost to our business.

Since implementing the Hallmark scheme we complete one form for a move in and move out, send this to Hallmark and they contact all the utilities for us, reducing our utility administration to virtually zero. If we get any billing issues Hallmark are happy to deal with these on our behalf.

With the service being free and the fact we receive commission is a bonus!

We have used the Hallmark Utility Management scheme since 2009 and our administration at each new move in and COT is now almost non-existent. We complete one simple form at each new move in and also at each check out and the rest is left to Hallmark. The four utility companies are informed of the movement on our behalf on our letterhead and we are sent copies for our files. Once a property is on supply with Southern Electric, Hallmark will deal with all the billing issues going forward and the landlord even gets free gas and electricity during void periods up to the value of £10. If we have any queries the team at their offices in Brigg pick up the phone quickly and deal with our issues efficiently and promptly. We earn a commission for each transfer, so we take the view that we do less internally and provide ourselves with an extra revenue stream too. A great service, easy to implement and integrate into any lettings business.
